Bug

This is the final version of Bug for my school storybook project. The biggest problem I had with this image was how offset I had drawn Bug; he had a large amount of space on the bottom half of the page that I needed to fill in an interesting way. Because he is found in a rocky landscape, some softly colored stones did the job well, and they are just enough of a different neutral color that they don't interfere with Bug himself. I think out of all the images I drew, Bug is the one who most effectively is expressing the emotion that is supposed to go along with him. He is a freaked out little critter and he sure looks like it! I also really like the see-through nature of the wings; I just added that on the fly and it worked out better then I was anticipating!
