Talking Zergies

This comic was a fanart piece I submitted to Blizzard for their Starcraft II Beta key contest which eventually won third place. Though I wish I would have had more time to develop the idea, I am pleased with the majority of it and I had a lot of fun drawing cute little Zerg! (My favorites would definitely be the left-most Zergling and the little wriggling Baneling that happens to have rolled onto its back.)

The comic itself is based upon true events; I've always heard the Zerg unit sounds as actual words and I thought everyone else did to. However, when I just casually mentioned it to a friend a few years ago, they thought I was nuts! I still secretly think that the Zerg can speak, and every time I play I swear that behind all that gurgling there are actual words. Oh well, a girl can dream!
