014: Kakuna

I always thought Kakuna was one of the coolest Pokemon design-wise, which is a pity because it is only around for three levels before it evolves. Still, out of all the original bug Pokemon, Kakuna (in my opinion) is the best. I guess being powerful isn't everything.

A lot of people draw Kakuna just standing around or hanging from a tree, which I guess is all that a Kakuna would really do. But I decided to draw mine sleeping on a treetop somewhere. I'm not sure how the Pokemon would get to the top of a tree; perhaps a friendly Beedrill thought it would like to spend a night overlooking the landscape or something. Either way, it seems pretty happy up there.
